Frequently Asked Questions

  • Q. Will I be able to take my work home with me?
  • A. When you are attending a session your work will need to be bisque fired. You will be contacted to say when your work is ready.

  • Q. Is my work food safe?
  • A. Your pottery will only be food safe and completely finished once it has been fired twice, you will need to return for a glaze session in order to have a finished piece of pottery.

  • Q. How long does the process take?
  • A. We need to build up a batch of pottery to be fired in the kiln, this can take a few weeks to a month or two, especially the glaze firing. Please be patient and you will be contacted as soon as it comes out of the kiln.

  • Q. How long will you keep my bisque fired work for?
  • A. You will have 8 months maximum to return to either collect your bisque wear or attend a glaze session. After this period your work may be disposed of, we do not like to do this as we think all of your work has value and we do not want to contribute to landfil wherever possible. If you agree / ( do not reply ) that you do not want your work, we may glaze it and sell it in an unclaimed pottery sale, putting the money back into the business.
